Sunday, August 2, the morning worship service at 9:00 a.m. will include distribution of Bibles to our congregation second-grade members, and Hymnals and Small Catechisms to our fourth-grade members. We will pray for God’s blessings upon the new school year at SJ-E and also our local schools.
Following the morning service there will be a congregation meal (serving at 11:00 a.m.): meat, drinks, and table service will be provided; we ask those attending to provide a dish to share (a salad, side dish, or dessert). Setup for the event will take place on Saturday, August 1, at 8:30 a.m.

Saint John (Flatrock) preaches Christ crucified and risen from the dead; we are a Bible-based congregation that confesses the historic, orthodox Christian faith in the Triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This faith is built on “the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone.” (Ephesians 2:20 ESV) Saint John Church is firmly grounded in the Lutheran Confession of the Christian Faith and is a member congregation of The Lutheran Church – Missouri Synod.
We are a part of God's adopted family and as brothers and sisters in Christ we look forward to sharing with you the gifts of Christ.
